must..have....snacks...


Hello All!

Thanks for actually coming back to check on us...I headed straight to H-E-B after work yesterday to fill my sweet tooth cravings, specifically for chocolate...Since I only used $17.79 of my $20 for the week, I was left with $2.21...Eileen, my partner in crime, notified me that Ghirardelli brownie mix was on sale for $2.00...and I wasn't charged tax either, don't know why, didn't ask, every penny counts these days. Thank you Eileen, you have saved me from tremendous grumpy-ness :) My family, friends and neighboring colleagues all thank you...Let's just say the brownies were cooked before dinner was heated! Adding brownies to my menu for the week will make the rest of the Challenge not as painful...

Dinner consisted of black beans, rice and tomatoes. I skipped out on the chicken because I only have 4 pieces left to last me 5 days...Breakfast this morning was a whopping dose of 100% whole grain oats and an orange with 16 ozs. of water...That was at 7:45am. It is now 11:45am and I am feeling the grumblings..I can say that what I am missing the most are my snack foods, all the stuff my office mates are devouring daily... Going to grab an orange now and hoping it shuts the voices up inside saying: "Grab Maya's trail mix, no one will know!"


Here I am, trying to look grateful for what I have.
